Description
Myoglobin (MYO) widely exists in heart and skeletal muscle cells. When cells are injured, MYO enters the blood earlier. MYO elevation is common in the early stage of acute myocardial infarction, acute muscle injury, muscular dystrophy, muscular atrophy, polymyositis, acute and chronic renal failure and severe congestive heart failure.
Clinical significance
✔ Early negative exclusion criteria for acute myocardial infarction
✔ A good indicator of reinfarction.
✔ Effective index for evaluating myocardial infarction reperfusion
Reagent performance
Sample type | Serum/plasma |
Linear range | 20-1000 ng/mL |
Precision within batch | ≤ 8% |
Precision between batch | ≤ 12% |
Reference range | ≤ 70 ng/L |
Application department
