Description
D-Dimer is a specific degradation product of cross-linked fibrin (FB) hydrolyzed by fibrinolytic enzyme. The increase of D-Dimer level reflects hypercoagulable state and secondary hyperfibrinolysis. D-Dimer can be used as a marker of hypercoagulable state and hyperfibrinolysis in vivo.
