This kit is intended for qualitative detection and differentiation of nucleic acids from Monkeypox and Varicella-Zoster viruses. The kit is intended for using as an aid in the rapid diagnosis of Monkeypox and Varicella-Zoster viruses in humans serum and lesion exudate specimens. Positive results are indicative of Monkeypox and Varicella-Zoster viruses; clinical correlation with patient history and other diagnostic information is necessary to determine patient infection status. Negative results do not preclude Monkeypox and Varicella-Zoster viruses infection and should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis, treatment, or other patient management decisions. The test provides a preliminary test result only, the final confirmation should be based on clinical diagnostic results.
