Description
Serum amyloid A (SAA) is a sensitive acute phase reaction protein. Under normal circumstances, the content of SAA in plasma is less than 10 mg/L. When the body is stimulated by bacteria, viruses, mycoplasma, chlamydia and so on, the liver cells synthesize and secrete a large number of SAA into the blood. Therefore, SAA can be used as a sensitive indicator of the body's infection and inflammation control
